The room I was allocated was filthy, and clearly hadn't been cleaned since the last tenant lived here. The windows frames were black, the sink had a horrible black stain that wouldn't come off (so I couldn't/ wouldn't use the sink), the hot tap was so hot that it was impossible to use, the walls and floor were covered in stains (including greasy hand prints over the bed...nice...). The shared toilet took half an hour to re-fill, meaning no second flush or using it just after someone else. The reception and cleaning staff all had faces like a slapped 'you-know-what', and were often really rude and unhelpful. Post (mail) is completely unsecured unless it's a parcel, in which case you have to ask the rude staff at reception, when it's open (no good if you have classes until 6pm!). The kettle was disgusting; the inside was covered in black flakes of lime scale and was completely unusable. The kitchen tap only ran cold water and only if you lifted the tap in a certain way. Not recommended!
