I would not recommend staying here. There is simply better accommodation in better locations and in better states for similar money. These flats changed hands from Condor properties to Student Housing Lincoln late in 2019 and although they were certainly not perfect before this switch-over, they have since gone rapidly downhill. These new owners quickly tore out the communal washing machines, leaving the washing room as a dirty husk full of rubbish. Maintenance requests take days for any action and multiple times we were left with no heating for multiple days at a time. To which the response we received from a student housing representative after three days without heating or hot water was 'fingers crossed somebody comes today' On top of the issues with the owners: - Uncomfortably far from uni and any supermarkets - Very loud as it is on a college campus and surrounded by college students 5 days a week - Rats photographed on site - No office or dedicated contact with management
The people here don't socialise as there little to no social spaces here, unlike most student accommodation the lounge and kitchen are separated ( my lounge was never used at all so it was just an empty room) There was no seats or tables to eat food off of in the kitchen so you had to bring your food to your room past 2 heavy doors and onto a small table. The management here is awful and rude they never reply to emails or calls plus they don't have a office so theres no where for post to go. And when I was able to finally leave the contract after saying that I didn't like it after 3 days they didn't give my money from when I wasnt there for back. The walls a paper thin, you can hear people walking in the other room ( and doing other kind of stuff) The windows are tiny like they are as wide as your hand, plus the rooms don't get cleaned because when I moved in there was bugs everywhere cobwebs and paint that was scrapped off. Its also really far away from uni like 20-25mins. Don't go here
1.LOCATION IS WAAAY TOO FAR FROM UNI, unless you study in lincoln College , honestly if you are going to buy groceries, you are gonna end up weight lifting those bags up the hill and it's a torture to your whole body. Iceland delivery services will be your god. 2. Maintenance are pretty much happen very often which is a good thing 3. Free pizza (once) but honestly, the management barely even picks up the phone or even reply an email. The chances of finding a unicorn is even higher than them picking up the phone. If there is any emergency, we have to rely on one of the temporary staff but it is not that convenient as well 4. FIRE ALARMS, tenants here are honestly the worst cooks you can ever imagine, for the first month staying in this apartments, there were 4 alarms that happened on the first month and it was just them burning sausages , and to switch off the fire alarms, we had to wait for 30 mins minimum. 5. Bedroom sizes are not regular 6. near clubs conclusion, think again
Very god value for money and in a nice location, however it is a fair distance from the uni and socially it's a very small halls so there are not a lot of parties. I found myself going to Junxion constantly to meet friends.
