Merlin Heights Biography
Merlin Heights offers residents modern student accommodation close to Leicester city centre. You can take an eleven-minute bike ride to the University of Leicester and a six-minute walk to De Montfort University. When needing to take a break from work, you can enjoy the many bars, shops and restaurants the city has to offer.
After a long day of work, you can relax in the fantastic sky lounge or have some fun with friends in the games room. There are social events scheduled throughout the year and are sure to keep you busy and entertained. When needing to put your head down, you can make use of the study facilities and high-speed WiFi. There is bike storage and laundry facilities for your benefit as well as security monitoring.
If you are looking to stay with friends in a shared apartment, then the en-suite rooms are just for you. Should you prefer to have your own space, you can opt to stay in a studio. All of the rooms boast modern, light and bright features and are furnished with a small double bed, in-room TV, storage space, desk and chair. The studios have a fitted kitchen and are equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm.

Merlin is alright! Like everything in life, but it's great having someone to talk to that's always there to help like uncle mike and Oasis in a barren land, his encouragement, insight fill answers to my question and problems, his words carefully created to keep me on the narrow path of mature behaviour and good decision making. Honestly uncle mike as be like family to me as when you are in uni u don't have ur parents around and there are some things you can tell them but Uncle Mike doesn't judge and he listens to help you be a better version of yourself and that why I have stayed at Merlin for 2 year straight.
Its been so nice being at Merlin, reception staff and security are always so helpful. So quick and attentive to any questions. Feels really safe and homey. Its so close to everything and the walk to uni is actually really nice.

Feels like home! The management are so nice and they quickly handle every query straight away. Feels safe too. The rooms are so nice the only issue being the freezer space in a studio. Close to dmu around 6 mins walking to the campus. Has a shop next door to it which is useful for any last minute groceries

It’s really a great accommodation, totally money valued. Also, the location is very nice. Everything is nearby. The reception People assist every problem Very well. The most important part of safety is kept in mind in this accommodation

The accommodation is close to town and uni. Its a nice place And The security guys where chill
Mr Khurram is the best security guard that I have ever interacted. Always so nice and supportive of me, my Merlin experience wouldn’t have been the same without him.

When I first moved to Leicester , I was immediately made comfortable by Michael who works at Merlin , he showed me around when I asked for assistance and always helped me immediately after any problems I may face , he is a kind man who has time for any issues and will always listen to whatever the problem may be , he is the reason I enjoyed my first year as much as I did and I hope I find more people like him in my years to come

My experience at Merlin was made so much easier by Michael as he was the one who was kindest to me at Merlin , he would always help my issues as soon as they come up and made me understand Leicester when it was hard getting used to a new city , he was also kind to everyone at the accommodation,.

Staying here for my second and soon third year I would recommend Merlin Heights for future friends and students as it is perfectly located near the uni and city center. The staff is very friendly and professional. Maintainance is quite fast. Wifi could be improved to be faster for the upper floors.

Good quality for very cheap prices. Friendly staff and extremely convenient as well as quiet location. Everything is on 10 minutes away. Highly recommend it to all new upcoming students.

Merlin Heights, situated in the heart of Leicester, the student accomodation is close to many shops making the overall living experience manageble. The aesthetic of the building, both in and out is modern and very satisfactory - value for money. The staff at reception are always friendly and very welcoming. They ensure you receive the best experience by sorting your deliveries and mails accurately for your collection. The cleaning staff are friendly, as well and they maintain the building in a tidy condition. The social spaces, such as the games room were inaccessible due to Covid restrictions, but when accessible, they were a fun place to hang out with your flatmates. Overall, a great place to stay. I certainly appreciated the hospitality I received.

Despite the covid situation, I have had a good year here at merlin heights. I’ve met a lot of good friends and the management have been amazing. The only downfall was not being able to use the social spaces as much as we’d like to, which is no fault of anybody’s of course. The location is great

Reception staff are so lovely and helpful, and have also tried their best to get students involved with virtual activities even through COVID. Never had any problems with security or being too loud etc. The studios and bathrooms are also very modern, spacious and include the main amenities. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone even after their first year of uni! I’ve stayed here for my final year and have had a very good experience!

As a first year student at DMU I feel that Merlin Heights is the best option considering the price and the distance from the university, it also has very good facilites such as the Sky lounge to chill out and watch films and the games room being my favourite because of the pool table. The rooms and kitchens are perfect for a first year student too as they are nice and spacious and cosy with a nice modern touch. The staff are also very helpful and polite and make sure your questions are always answered.

As a first year student I can’t recommend merlin heights enough, meeting friends has been so easy as well as settling in, the rooms are the perfect size and so cozy in the evenings, The staff personally for me were very helpful and are available to help and ask questions 24 hours of the day, washing facilities are close to all blocks as well as the sky lounge and games room, I use the sky lounge most days to study when not on campus, the best thing about staying here is you are a 5 minute walk from city centre meaning bars and clubs and under 10 minutes to de Montfort university, over all I have had an amazing experience here :)

As a first Year uni student I feel that Merlin heights was the best accommodation compared to all other Uni accommodations in Leicester the staff are always polite and helpful and couldn’t be any better. The facilities at Merlin heights are very good, with the games room being my favourite because of the Pool Table, also the rooms and kitchens are perfect for any first year student as they are very modern and feel cosy.

The staff at Merlin Heights are polite and professional. There is always a high standard of service available with security on call 24/7. During the pandemic, the cleaning facilities were impeccable and the cleaners did their absolute best to keep all social spaces clean. I would definitely recommend staying at Merlin Heights. Staff was not very helpful at the beginning of the year when i had issues with flatmates.
