It's good for being on campus and I personally think it's the better of the three on-campus accommodations. I lived there last year, this year and will be returning there next year. That being said, I think the price is shocking. You're paying for the convenience, sure, but given that student loans haven't gone up as much as they should to keep in line with the cost of living crisis, it feels criminal to charge as much as they do (£7019.32 for 23/24!). Communal area for the flats are nice but I haven't used the bookable master-chef style kitchen, not the games room so it feels like a good chunk of my rent is wasted. Cleaners don't do a very good job. Hardly clean at the best of times and kick up a fuss when the bins are only slightly full. Many times this year had my flat received a warning with a threat to fine only hours after the bins just got full. I like the Courtyard if it wasn't for the lack of security with private landlords due to cost of living crisis, I wouldn't return.

Social spaces weren’t accessible in the two years I stayed here. Who you live with makes your experience better or worse. If you need to you can be moved rooms if there are some available. For housing inbetween contracts you do have to pay to stay and may get moved to another accommodation in campus that is worse than you were in before. It is also really expensive
Very good! Enjoyed living here in first year, on campus, close to the club & lecture locations! No parking
New wifi. Great location and ace rooms. They need to put a door on the shower rather than shower curtains. The cleaning staff are appalling and not worth the extra we must pay for them. The management is also pretty poor, not consistent in contrasting opinions.

Right beside campus literally a 30 second walk to the night club on campus and student union. Receptionist are lovely and are always so helpful
Very very expensive accommodation. Other than that, everything else is really good. Would however only recommend for first year only.
Best place to live in around the whole university. Spacious rooms woth many storage. Overall, it is a lovely environment.

Very nice rooms, ensuite lovely. Would appreciate less frequent room inspections and advice on how to clean things that get pulled up after inspections. Overall a lovely place to stay in first year.
Love living at the courtyard, its on campus which is very convenient, and is just across the road from asylum (which being part of a sports team, is very convenient on a wednesday night)

I like the courtyard as it is close to everything however it can get annoying when we have to have room checks and we are told to clean everything otherwise it’ll be taken away. I don’t like my flat mates so I don’t like being made it live in them. Both of my ovens are broken as well and there isn’t enough room in the fridges
Worth the money you pay for it, very comfortable living and provides all that you need. Staff are lovely too
This was very good it was newly built when I lived there and although it had its issues all issues were handled with speed and precision.
So far so good, cleaners are a bit sloppy and you have to socialise on the landing cos the kitches are quite narrow
Pretty nice room, haven't heard anything from the warden or university however, Kitchen could have more space.
Lovely place so far from what I have seen! I cannot wait to move in on September the 24th and make my room feel like home!
The Cleaners were often rude and in fact stole change and various other items off my desk/bedside table. They would make snide comments and often slammed on the door of my special needs neighbour.
Best place to be in the first year - we were in lambert a so not a long walk to the canteen or car park
Lambert is the closest to the lawns centre and the bus stop by the lawns and is in general just the best...
A great place to stay, really good for making friends and socialising
Wifi not great, lawns centre is great, over 600 students in one place - your going to have a good time.
Cleaners don't like anything you do, room inspections are monthly , the people from most blocks know each other and party together
Great value for money with en-suite and really easy to access the floors and meet everyone in the block. Location is right next to the lawns center and cleaned/maintained well with easy internet access
Really fantastic halls, catering was great, bar on site, regular busses to uni. Fab for first year!
Great people, BUT... cleaners are awful, food isnt great and the common room was being renovated for the whole year so we didnt get the chance to use it. location meant a 15 min bus journey to uni (with the free semester bus pass). Other than that i would recommend staying at the lawns to anyone, the social experience alone makes up for all other shortcomings, best year of my life!
The kitchen, bathroom and landing is cleaned every week day, and rooms are cleaned once every 3 weeks. The block is very loud and sound travels a lot. There is an evening meal included in the price, and the food is pretty good. The hall is based in Cottingham which is much nicer than Hull, but it means there is a 15 minute bus journey to university every day.
