Pretty bad, compared to the other halls of residence at the university the value for money is below par. The location is not ideal, its not too far that you'd have to get a bus, but its not close enough to be pleasurable. Hall management could be better, the reception never seems to be open, but that could just be my luck. We don't actually have cleaning in the halls, so I can't judge. The common room is actually ok, if people used it! Its not easy to meet people, on the confident seem to succeed, so the social experience is not great, the halls are also to far away from others to meet people outside.

I have lived here for 3 years and It has been great. The staff are lovely and there is always someone around to help you when you have problems. It's central to all of the universities and within walking distance of the city centre. Sometimes there are issues with the onsite washing facilities and WiFi but generally the facilities here are pretty good. I would recommend living in IQ because most student flats are overpriced and a bit scummy. At least here you live in a flat which is clean, secure and has onsight staff to help you with your problems.

I have stayed in iQ Fountainbridge for two years (my 1st and 2nd years of university), it has great location for Princes St/Haymarket and Edinburgh Napier Craiglockhart campus. The building is very modern and the flats are nice and spacious. The reception staff are friendly and helpful and easy to talk to! However the price of the rent was very high for students, it was nine instalments of £683 over the 43 week period. This didn't include an iron, toaster or kettle which we had to purchase ourselves even though they are fairly essential...and also the hoover was not very useful in hoovering. The laundry system was pretty good, quite a lot of machines however very expensive, this is a different company 'circuit laundry' but either way £2.50 for one wash which you're doing quite often was expensive! Overall I had a good time in iQ, met good friends and have good memories, it was perfectly suitable for either first year or your first few years of university!

The only good thing about this accommodation is the location and the friends I made here which made it bare able, the staff are awful always complaining and threatening to the students living here about noise and partying which fair enough it can get excessive but its university and there were many first years, rent here is 692 a month which doesn't cover food and this is for a shared fact of 4 and kitchen, small kitchens and bedrooms.

The place is overpriced for students and you just get the basics. For what you are paying you should expect a cleaner to come in at least once a week, because I know of people that pay way less and get a cleaner twice a week. The security is very good, and if you get locked out they will be there within 15 minutes to help you. Also the location is good, it's not too close the centre but also not too fa everything is walking distance. I would not recommend this place because it is too expensive for what you get.

Poor management, security often let themselves into our flat at all hours, poorly run (eg no-one has any idea when deposits will be returned), phenomenally expensive for basic amenities - which were more often than not out of use; such as hot water and Internet.

The social experience lacks because it's self catered and he flats are only in 5. There are also a mix of uni and colleges so everyone has different agendas. Cleaning is great but only for the common areas, there are no flat cleaners. It is one of the further out halls for Edinburgh university but it depends how much you enjoy walking because it is only about 25 minutes. Despite this, I always felt safe and if there were ever problems the staff were incredible! More over, my room/flat was beautiful and modern. It is a little pricey but the en suite is great and not often you get a bed that is bigger than a single! On top of that, wifi was perfect. Definitely a nice student halls!

This was such a good accommodation to live in for first year. The flats were modern and fitted with the best equipment. Perhaps a tad far away from campus if you don't know the city but overall a great place to stay with helpful and friendly staff and a great maintenance team.

Flats themselves are amazing but if I hadn't been so lucky with my flat mates I'd have been miserable here. It's really anti social and a really awkward distance from campus (especially kings!! Takes an hour to get there)
