Excellent location right next to central campus of the university, just off the royal mile and really close to the social scene of the cowgate. The quality of the accommodation is adequate although no lift so when living on the top floor be warned that its a lot of stairs! Watch out for mice (this is common across Edinburgh) but be warned this accommodation is not immune and we had many a furry visitor. Unfortunately the building doesn't have a common room (it shares one with robinson close which nobody uses) so the social scene of the building isn't great; the only time we met our neighbours was during fire alarms! The rooms are reasonably furnished and very warm in the winter and the price is relatively cheaper than the private accommodations offered in the city. Just be warned you will be paying for the location not the quality.
