Only positive is the location and social life. Everything is is below average, laundry is awful (the dryers do not even dry your clothes because anybody can open them and stop the drying), rooms and dated, heating is terrible - heaters in bedrooms only stay on for 5 minutes at a time (in all bedrooms), kitchens are small, dated and dirty when you first move in, staff are useless, maintenance take weeks to respond to anything you need fixing. There are plenty other student accommodations nearby which are so much more modern and better value for money - don't waste your money paying £147 per week for this.
Our cleaners never actually cleaned anything, there were a number of times we would come out of rooms and they would be sitting on our stairs on their phones. We had no living space and were always having to sit on the stairs in our hallway to be able to sit and all be together because there was never enough room for us all the sit on one persons room or in the kitchen. Although we were catered we weren't fed on Saturday lunchtimes or evenings so we would cook for ourselves which would have been fine had we had an oven instead we were very limited on what we could eat, also we had to spend extra money on food which shouldn't be allowed because we are paying the university to be fed. However the location was perfect, living on campus is ideal, all of my lectures, the Student Union and everyone I am friends with were within a 30 second walk of my flat so my social experience was amazing, All the special events the university put on were brilliant especially in freshers week.
