Read Old College Reviews
Old College is pretty good considering it’s fully catered! floor 3 has no social space at all, floor 4 has 1 sofa plopped next to the kitchen in the hall and floor 5 has 2 sofas in with the kitchen, so this is as “common room” as it gets unfortunately. No TV or anything like in other accommodations but nevermind. rooms are cleaned every 4 weeks so ask cleaners to leave a hoover so you can do it more regularly than that. they are good at keeping the kitchen and bathrooms and showers clean. there is no oven but that doesn’t matter since the dining hall is literally down some steps. it’s also less than a minute round the corner to get to the campus gym and swimming pool, which is handy. the lift breaks and traps people every now and again, but it’s better than walking up 7 flights of stairs when you’ve just had a full day of lectures. it’s all girls accommodation which for me makes it a lot more comfortable to share the bathrooms. the rooms are all good sizes, but some are way bigger
Old college is a really good accommodation if you want self catered, the location is really close to whites dining hall and as its in the middle of campus so you can literally get to lectures in 2 minutes. The rooms are also really good sized, the only problem is its shared bathrooms and it's a bit of a walk to the bathroom. There also is no common room on one of the floors which means we have no where to socialize. The kitchen is also lacking and could do with an oven even if we are self catered. The cleaning by Sam is literally the best and my room has a cleanliness transformation every Tuesday morning. Overall, it's a really good accommodation and I wouldn't want to change.
