St Mary's is a lovely halls of residence if you prefer a quieter place with arguably a better standard of living. A lot of the rooms have double beds, and the building is split into 2/3 people flats, with the 2 people flats having a shared bathroom and the 3 people flats having a shared bathroom and one room with an en suite. Overall, my experience here has been a positive one but the lack of communal space is pretty annoying; this however, is easily solved if you have a big room as everyone can just pile in. Luckily, I have got on with my flatmates but I have heard from others that it can become problematic if you don't get on with the people you live with, as the small space quickly creates a tense atmosphere. I would, however, recommend St Marys. It is about a minute walk to the local shops, including Tesco Metro, and a five minute stagger home from Wetherspoons. Its a good halls of residence for somebody who doesn't want to be disturbed at all hours.
