Worst student accommodation I have lived in the last 5 years. Rooms look like they have been built in 90s and saw many students before. No reception, always problems with delivering parcels and letters, keys are very old fashioned, you always do not know which one is from the main door or which one is from your room. As a Medical Sciences student I need to go for a placement to the laboratory I have trued to apply many times for a parking permit, as I use car for my studies, however it was declined many times, despite all the car park is empty. Is it so difficult to give a permit for their residents, what am I paying for? The worst thing about it, that you get hot water only at the times when University works from 9am to 5pm, so if you want to have a shower, these are the only times for you to get it. No shops nearby, 007 Express conveniece shop charges twice more from the normal food price in lidl or coop, Kitchen is really bad, there is no kettle, and there is very limited space.

I had awful time here. The accommodation I was given was horrendous. I was expecting them to provide basic stuff when I moved in. However the radiator in my room as well as lighting in room did not work at all. This despite them sending people in to check the electrics were working routinely. The heating in kitchen did not work. You get your bathroom with shower and how running water. The walls in the place are just plastered over. You can hear next door neighbours walking in their bedrooms and punching g the walls. If you wish to come to Chelmsford ARU go for off campus accommodation. It is not worth the cost
Do not waste your money on these halls. Although they may appear convenient and refurbished, the lack of social space and tiny, snot green box rooms will drive you loony! Certainly not with the cost.
Renting privately is a better cheaper idea. 92,93,94,95 are refurbishe beds. Common areas none. Management none. Parties occurring and noise yes. 2.2x2m² small rooms. Needs proper double glazing. Smell. Not worth £6700. Water issues. Location close to town.
Not at all clean; not really good social space
Teachers are picked well under qualified for their job, without any motivation or enthusiasm to teach their students and make their lectures interesting and relevant to the career they have chosen. On top of that multiple teachers showed a huge lack of basic IT skills and willingness to teach. Even though our course was a brand in that specific teaching department, the course leader shouldn't have treated and even calling us guinea pigs just for that reason. We paid the same amount of money for the degree we've chosen just like everybody else therefore we expect with that degree to gain corresponding set of knowledge. As a 3rd year student, along with my 2 other only class mates (Yes, the class consists of a total of three people) I can tell, none of this was met and I feel like not only that it wasted my time but I'm also in a huge debt. The room is well modified and very comfortable to be in
Really disappointed with the Halls here, but the friends i have made are amazing. The quality of stuff you get is terrible, already had the freezer and oven replace, this took a month. Rooms are run down and kitchens have no life to them. The laundrette is just about feasible. Could be brilliant with a little bit of refurbishment, but not worth the money i have saved.
It's good but quite expensive for what it is, needs a good refurb!

Not the greatest of halls but u make it fun with your friends.
be prepared that if you chose a 3 bed flat, the chances of you making friends will be hard, especially if they are very different from you, making friends on your choice will be the only option. Both the other people in my flat were incredibly loud, obnoxious and one of them very messy! The kitchen is tiny and there is little storage space. The accommodation services did little to help with the issue, with after weeks of trying just telling me to sort it among ourselves. I had to resort to ear plugs. However as I have heard from friends life in the big apartments is much better.
