Overall, rooms are good, decent sized beds, desk space, plenty of shelving. Heating is a bit iffy, in winter when I had it on, overtime it would turn itself down and then eventually off, so you would wake up in the middle of the night freezing unless you had good warm bedding. The kitchens are good size. Came with everything the accommodation website says, EXCEPT IRON, IRONING BOARD, but have managed without it. Brilliant location! Shops, bars, restaurants, nearly everything on your doorstep. Wifi is brilliant. Social experience is okay, layout of the accommodation affects it but the outside seating is a good way to make friends in freshers. Maintenance sort things out when they can, sometimes takes awhile, sometimes quite fast. Lifts aren’t always reliable. The worst part are the washers/dryers!. Expensive, 2/3 dryers don’t even dry your clothing. UNITE didn’t take responsibility so I had to call the company that own them and get them to sort it, which they didn’t! Ultimately, 7/10?

Nelson and Drake House is beautifully decorated in street art and is exclusive for UWE students. Staying here means you will never run out of things to do, as you have the main shopping area and harbourside all within easy reach. You also have easy access to campus as Bower Ashton campus is a twenty-minute bus ride away, Frenchay campus is a twenty-five-minute bus ride away and Glenside campus is a thirty-five-minute bus ride away.

worst place ever, cannot wait to leave! maintenance wise everything is wack, washers and dryers don’t work, water is cold most of the time u need a shower, mould everywhere, no sort of aircon and when it’s hot it gets unbearably hot in the rooms, lifts always broken, staff are rude, i had one bloke (staff) storm into my room with no permission just because he could “smell weed” bearing in mind i had 2 weed dealers on my floor…. i was also super unlucky and got put w a bunk of neeks :)))) spent half my tenancy crashing at friends yards to avoid the place, only thing it’s got going for it is the loco

Drilling out side if not out side drilling inside if you come here you will not sleep. Every thing breaks.
I don't even know where to start with this place... Firstly the maintenance is absolutely dreadful. Whenever anything breaks in this place it takes them forever to sort the problem. A few great examples would be when the flat next door had no running water for 2 days and we had to give them water, which is just absolutely bizarre. Maintenance came to our flat to plaster a wall in the bathroom leaving chippings of the wall all over the floor and not even bothering to clean it up. There is mold growing in the bathroom because there isn't proper ventilation and when we reported the problem we were met with an email telling us how to get rid of the mold "ourselves" when its a literal health hazard. There are 2 washing machines and 2 tumble dryers which cost roughly a fiver per cycle for 6 floors full of students. The tumble dryers are terrible making you pay for 2 cycles to have fully dry clothes. Worst Place ever not worth the money at all. wouldn't recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Lovely staff and enjoyed my stay
My unite room looked nice but as soon as something broke (which was quite frequent) you could tell it was cheap products used. There was grey paint on my desk from painting the walls and my whole desk was completely broken when they put in a new radiator and didnt fix it. There is absolutely no social events set up by unite. The laundry machines were expensive and there was only 4 machines for the hundreds of residents. In a great location right in the centre but not worth the money.
Joke of an accommodation, complete rip off. 6 grand a year for a kitchen of that standard. My room was one of the best but the majority I’ve seen were a joke. A thousand locks to get from place to place means there no socialising unless you smoke, where there’s a big smoking area. No way for a free flowing social environment to develop. A blend of hippy students who have been planning to get to a Bristol uni for 7 years, too be the pinnacle of cool combined with some poor unassuming kids who got to uwe on insurance choice who can’t quite fit in. Poor guys. No real benefits to living there except maybe access to shops and clubs. But no one can afford shops in uni anyway

Amazing value for money, great location, friendly and helpful staff, really enjoyed my stay here! A lot depends on your flatmates, but fortunately I was lucky to have amazing flatmates, who we really get along with. It gives you a great head start in your life in Bristol, it's probably the safest halls i've been in during my first year, and it's cleaner and more chill than Marketgate. The internet is perfectly fine, Netflix is gonna run, don't worry, and those occasional skype sessions are ok as well. :) I would definitely recommend this over the few bigger ones around the city center, you're not gonna regret it, not just that it's closer to all the big venues, it's really easy to access since the Centre bus stop is basically 2 min walk away, providing instant commute to all campuses.

Honestly a rip off, lifts are broke all the time, washings really overpriced, only good thing is the location but other than that I really wouldn’t recommend living here at all
Mouldy, damp bathrooms, maintenance never fixed unlocked flat door. We were left with exposed electric cables for months on end.
Don't apply here. It's overpriced and really not worth it.
