Altura Biography
Altura offers students sleek and modern accommodation and is located on the edge of the city centre and within a fifteen-minute commute from most of the City’s University campuses. Being so close to the city centre gives you the chance to take advantage of local amenities and all the city has to offer.
Staying at Altura means you can skip your gym membership as the building has its very own fully-equipped gym and flexible studio. There is a main study room, private study space, study booths and high-speed WiFi for you to make use of. After a long day of lectures, you can relax in the cinema area, lounge (featuring its own pool table) or join one of the regular social events. For added convenience, there is on-site laundry, bike storage and hire. To ensure you are well looked after, there is 24/7 security, key fob entry, on-site maintenance, CCTV, as well as access to your own residents' app.
When choosing your room, you have the option of staying in a self-contained studio or an en-suite room with a shared kitchen and living space. All of the rooms are spacious, have contemporary finishings and come furnished with a bed, study area, storage space and en-suite bathroom.

Honestly amazing experience, it’s a little far from my university but has everything you could ever want, train stations and buses right outside the door, amazing staff, amazing social spaces, and overall just an incredible place to stay during you’re studies

Honestly, it’s been a great experience so far, from the day I booked, till date. We have events happening every other week and they take good care of you and your wellbeing. I highly recommend this place, as it also has a great connectivity and facilities.

The building is amazing have a number of facilities to use and are all in good condition. Would recommend if they could clean the kitchen better though as the cupboards were slightly sticky and dirty and the microwave is old rusty and used would’ve proffered if we got a new one when moving in. Other than that the room is perfect nice amount of space and great layout I am definitely happy with my room

Great place to stay through your uni years, with super friendly staff who communicate with you on a daily basis if you have any problems at all, as uni years can be really stressful. Super clean place with guaranteed protection of your properties throughout your stay, free access to gym, dance studio and other activities. Highly recommended by myself and other University mates.

I have lived at Altura for 2 years now and it’s been the best 2 years of my life, the accommodation is so nice, I love spending the evening watching movies in the amazing cinema room and playing a few games of pool with friends. The staff are all sooo lovely and have helped me out with so much over the last 2 years, Lauren is always there to help out with anything, Mickey always makes me laugh when I’m having an off day, Claire is so quirky and funny I love all the events she puts on, Michaela is like my second mom she always gives such good advice, Alan the maintenance man can literally fix anything, Racheal keeps the place spotless so we can enjoy all the great facilities the accommodation has to offer, Mukhtar and Emmanuel the security guards keep the building safe for everyone and Umara who works weekends is always very helpful with any questions I have. I have rebooked my room for next year and cannot wait to meet my new flat mates, if I could live here forever I would!

Having stayed in previous student accommodation before I can confidently say Altura is the best Birmingham has to offer! The facilities are brilliant and always kept in very good condition. The staff are extremely polite and friendly and make you feel very at home. The staff are constantly arranging events to allow you to meet new people in the accommodation, making it great fun to live here.

The staff at reception are lovely and helpful beyond their job roles (i.e chats about future job opportunities and housing). Staff are always around and willing to help and have a chat. The place is lovely with lots of amenities and very modern, highly recommend.

This accomodation is literally the best and that is me being honest. As a second year student I have been so fortunate to secure such an amazing Accomodation, in a perfect location. Within a walkable distance to all the BCU campuses and I’m pretty sure close to other unis this accom will really feel like home away from home. I have made lifelong friends here and will stay here for the next 2 years of my uni experience. The staff are literally my best friends and I adore them all so much. They’re so fast to respond to issues and are always up for a friendly chat! We’re a big familia. It’s literally amazing 🥲🥲

The reception staff and house team are some of the nicest people you will meet and they will help you with anything! The facilities here are mint too with a gym, cinema room, piano, pool table, dance studio, study areas and more! Altura was my first choice, it should be yours too!
