There isn’t really a common room/social area for the building but the students socialise with each other easily due to the smaller number of people. There is a lot of “fees” to pay for example if you lose your keys it’s £30 to replace them and if you need to call staff out at night (say there’s a false fire alarm) you have to pay a fine
Windows don't work so rooms are freezing. The couches are awful box couches that are so uncomfortable. The breakfast bar only seats 4 in a 7 bed flat and there's no table. Cleaner doesn't do much. Bedrooms are pretty big with good sized small double beds. Heating system is terrible. Severely overpriced (£629 a month)
NOT VALUE FOR MONEY BE ASWELL GOING TO WOOLMANHILL - it's cheaper and you get what you expect. The location is central and the halls are some what 'nicer' than others. HOWEVER -our flat was not cleaned before moving in -You get a 'weekly' cleaner who turns up every now and again- rarely comes weekly or on the same day. -Loud during the week -Doing your laundry is crazy expensive - RA's do not response to complaints -Cannot get helping during the day -Events created by the Rosemount community team are terrible and lie when they say they give prizes -Appliences were damaged/faulty when we moved in - Our Microwave is full of rust.
Halls are really expensive, to do your clothes washing it's really really expensive. The bathrooms have mould, the showers leak, the windows don't particularly work and the doors are noisy. Kitchens are pretty big with good sofa's and it's probably one of the nicest of RGU's accommodation! Good location and the RA's are pretty nice but it's not value for money at all!
