English Language, BA Hons
I actually do a course called "English and MOLA" and I study Korean, but it won't let me input that? The Korean tutors here are fantastic and all super interactive and friendly. I had Hyojin from TTMIK for my first year and she was so sweet and engaging. Unfortunately, 2nd year Korean all online was so difficult. The portfolio tasks were unhelpful and boring and classes were just random slides and confusing worksheets, or worksheets that were just A or B circle questions. I know they're doing their best, though! English Language and Linguistics is pretty fun, too. Just really depends on your modules. First year modules were not really what I wanted to study and therefore it can change your view of the course, but in general, it's pretty good. I wish we weren't given compulsory academic writing modules, though. In first year, it felt a bit patronising. I love that I can study linguistics with Korean, though. It makes the course more interesting and opens more doors for me :)
So many students dropped out, including my daughter, due to the shambolic, disinterested and erratic quality of teaching. It just seems like a scam course cobbled together to make money with no interest in teaching anything much to the students
