Enjoyable course. Medium-high work load. Lots of coursework (may be good or bad depending on how well you manage time). Some lecturers are great, others not so much. After first year you get complete choice of modules which is great.

Much of the course content so far has been recap of a-levels with little new content, although this is to bring everybody up to the same point. The teaching quality is average, with some lecturers engaging us whilst others just seem to talk at us for 50 minutes. My experience with personal tutors is awful; the tutor I have does not respond to their emails, and is otherwise impossible to contact. There is a large focus on skills for employers in the science sector, which is fantastic if you insist on pursuing a lab-based job after the degree.

Low value for money as everybody knows universities in the UK are extremely expensive. Lecturers are really good, helpful and available whenever you need any help. Venues are really good as well as laboratories. Unfortunately job prospects for this type of degree are very limited (unless you want to carry on in university on research).
