Wide range of books to read, mostly interesting. In the two years I have studied there we have been passed around from lecturer to lecturer and lots of topics have been repeated as a result of this. I expected more consistency and a more riveting experience from lectures. I love englosh though so being around books and learning about books usually makes that worthwhile.

Though I always enjoy the single honours modules, I do find the joint honours modules repeat a lot of things I've already learnt, be it from a levels or other modules. Don't always like the way some lecturers choose to teach either, preferring small group discussions about texts in seminars instead of questions and answers to a much larger group.
