10 Law reviews at Birmingham City University
Law with American Legal Studies, LLB Hons
This course is fantastic for anyone interested in studying law! I couldn't believe my open day / welcome week they actually courtrooms that are the same as what you would find at a court! The subjects are so interesting and they offer different trips and even the chance to go to America and shadow a lawyer who works with cases on death row ! The tutors are lovely and you make friends straight away from working and learning off one another.

BCU is a fantastic uni in terms of support, teaching, and career guidance. The content of my degree was engaging and my tutors were (almost) all knowledgeable and approachable, with many having some seriously impressive credentials (program editor at Harvard, guest lecturer at Oxford etc). BCU is a severely underrated university in my opinion. As a mature student with health issues it gave me the opportunity for a fresh start and the support offered allowed me to reach my full potential - I leave with a first class degree. My personal tutor was also fantastic (hi Jon!); he was very compassionate and encouraging and supported me throughout my university journey. I will definitely miss and cherish my time at BCU!

Never heard from my personal tutor throughout the year but almost all other lecturers and professors were very helpful and knowledgable
Law with American Legal Studies, LLB Hons
The admin side of the university is very unorganised. Handed in some documents about personal issues for an extension only to be told they have been 'misplaced'. Very unorganised. Best thing about it is the other students there. Teaching wise it's awful and you will have no support at all

Teachers can be very reluctant to help. Not very approachable. Never really respond to emails regarding help. Told to read the slides again. Feel as though I am paying £9000 a year for a PowerPoint presentation to be read to me. There is no extra information provided and it is very much self learning which is not what I have paid for. Could do with providing more helpful materials such as handouts or booklets.

Law course at bcu is fantastic, you have every opportunity to do well and the staff are always willing to help if in need.
Law with Criminology, LLB Hons
Course is interesting in some places however mandatory modules are boring things like land law etc. teachers are nice and helpful a majority of the time . Seminar tutors are gods gift I swear! My personal tutor though does not bother with me tbh
