The perfect course to choose if you’re looking to work with children, especially if being a teacher is your desired career. The materials provided by supportive lecturers and tutors really aid your assignments and ensure you’re getting the best grades possible

By bibismarikos On 2nd March 19Im studying a ba hons degree in education and im satisfied with the teachers and the uni in general. The issue is that we only have 8 hours lessons a week with about 1hour break and this is considered to be full time. The teachers are really helpful and approachable. But, the classrooms are not correctly designed as the chairs are too high and the tables too low..I dont know who they are designed for but they cause back pains to everyone and they are really uncomfortable..also the lecture theatres are wrongly done as the tables are too far away from the chairs and it is difficult to reach your notebooks in a comfortable way. In general, the uni is a bit dead and there aren't a lot of things going on. Students from other courses have issues with tutors and I don't know if I would recommend this uni.

By member1226586 On 27th May 17I have only finished my first year of this Course, but still, have some mixed feelings about it. While the course itself is a very good one, without any exams, some of the teachings are pretty bad. I liked most of my modules so far, but one of them was very hard to understand how its content connected to the rest of our course. This was the SEARCH module, which had no connections whatsoever with the other modules. All the other modules we had certain overlapping themes and topics, but this did not connect to any of that. In addition to this, the teaching was poor with limited support (although this improved slightly over the course of the year). Overall a very fun and well-developed course, with great teachers and relevant and understandable readings.

By Sunshine7 On 20th October 15The course offers an excellent overview in different areas such as sociology, psychology and online learning. The sociological module focuses on the research of strategies to promote equality between different classes, ethnicities and gender. The psychology module studies how children develop using theory to inform this development and the best approaches to teach. The online learning is in my opinion very important in the world we live today. We had to build a website to use for educational purposes which was very engaging and interesting. Another module we have is research methods and in this we normally get to choose topics of our own interest to carry on a research. This module helps us prepare for the final project.

By member717144 On 20th October 15The course offers an excellent overview in different areas such as sociology, for example promoting equality between the different classes, ethnicities and gender. It also discusses topics of actuality in the educational field. There is a module on online learning which is very important in my opinion in the world we live today, we had to create our own website to use for educational purposes. Also there is a module focused on the primary classroom which prepares us well for the different things we are going to face in a primaryq school environment, using theory, policies, etc. In research methods we can also get to choose topics of our own interest to start a research on.
