The history department has been brilliant throughout my studies. They have a wide variety of modules to choose from that suit your own interests as well as core skills modules that are needed specifically for your degree.

Got out during Covid into a dead job market, tried to come back to do a teaching post grad and was refused because I hadn't given them a transcript of my academy grades - despite being a student with them for over a year and holding a degree from them.

History and International Relations, MA Hons
By Kmichael On 26th September 18You'll be bored out of your mind. The University has pretty much given-up on teaching. You'll have 6-8 hours of classes a WEEK and will, basically, have to teach yourself the whole course (especially if you study humanities or social sciences). However, the exams are so utterly basic that you would have to be an utter idiot to fail. Since uni is so easy and everyone pretty much graduates with a First or a 2.1, you'll be left with tons of free time to get drunk and to go out on a regular basis. It's only a pity that Aberdeen's nightlife is quite trashy and decadent. You'll get bored of it very quickly as well.
