5 Human & social geography reviews at University of Winchester
Geography, BSc Hons
The Geography programme staff have been amazing from start to finish. The course is exciting, relevant and lecturers are very knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. I have enjoyed taking Geography related modules from the Politics and Sociology courses too. There are a wide range of modules to choose from and the small class sizes mean that you get excellent tutoring and build solid relationships with peers and staff. The course is Royal Geographical Society (RGS) accredited. The RGS held a free evening lecture at the university in 2019 and there was also a trip to the RGS in London in first year. Geography staff really care about student wellbeing and course satisfaction, they listen to and are willing to act upon student suggestions to improve the course. The faculty's careers advisor is also excellent. The Geography staff are a credit to the university and I would highly recommend this Geography course.
Geography and Sociology, BA Hons
Lectures all very interesting, so getting good value for money. Sociology first semester isn't a huge step from Alevel which can mean it's boring occasionally. Both subjects link well together, and there is a wide range of possible future careers.
