Sociology, BSocSc Hons
By member1258018 On 17th May 21Lecturers and tutors are great, they are very open-minded people. I don't feel afraid to ask questions in lectures and tutorials, you can tell they work really hard to improve the course structure so that we have better learning experiences. They also responded well to the changes Covid brought.

By student1502 On 15th April 18Only done first year so far. Not many lectures and seminars per week so quite hard to properly get to know people. Lecturers are all very good and the content is very varied so you get to learn a broad range of topics.

Social Anthropology & Criminology, BA Hons
By Inès On 29th December 19With this degree you can do anything after in the social or law field !! Though self-motivation is the key as you’ll spend more time reading than going to lectures
Politics and Sociology, BA Hons
By member1049678 On 5th July 20The course content was good but I wished I had more contact hours. We only get around 9 or 10 contact hours. The course is very independent and sometimes there is a lack of support. My academic advisor was good but rarely communicate with me. Lecturer and tutor were mostly very qualified with some exceptions. The value for money is the main thing I can complain about. I don't believe that humanities or social sciences courses, in general, are as expensive as any other STEM courses (especially the one that requires equipment and labs). So why charging Home fee students the same? It is simply unfair.
