In-person teaching will resume from the start of the summer term, Monday 26th April for students on specified courses – including all practical programmes. If students are studying on a taught programme where Government restrictions on in-person teaching remain in place, the university shall continue to deliver the curriculum on-line for the time being.
The POLIS team are really great, helpful and caring. They are willing to help at evry turn and they draw on their own experiences to help you understand the subject. Every module is taught by an expert in the field and with bigger modules shared between two experts teaching different parts of the world or subject. They giver you a varied view on politics and no views are unheard or suppressed
Great content and amazing teaching staff - I've had good relationships with my academic advisor, dissertation supervisor, and other lecturers. Flexibility to choose modules in second and third year with varied and interesting topics available to study. Opportunity to switch to a placement or year abroad sandwich course, can decide as late as second year so there's no need to make a decision when applying to university.
Value for money at 1 star because nothing is worth £9,250 a year of debt plus maintenance. Teaching quality is of high standard and personal tutors are always there to give guidance when needed. The module choices are broad and offer really fun and interesting subjects to cover.
Really great course. Lecturers are helpful and know the course very well. The modules are all very engaging and 2nd year is pretty much all chosen making the course easily customisable to your interests
The course doesn't prepare you for any particular career or job really and the content you will never need to know again. On the plus side it's not too hard as long as you put a bit of effort in. Therefore I would say that the course is worth it if you really want to go to loughborough and enjoy the experience but doesn't teach you or give you any practical skills
