If you want to work in health care in the future, then adult nursing is an amazing course to do! It can point in so many different directions, as there’s so many different roads to go down! All the staff are fantastic and can support you all the way through!

Love the course and placement but would like more face to face teaching

In my opinion (and that of my cohort) the teaching isn’t the best and we don’t feel very supported by the tutors. The course content is good and the placements are very insightful and interesting.

Teaching has been unorganised this year. Especially in regard to placement allocation. We are supposed to have 10 weeks notice of where we are going for placement, however on our first placement block we found out the day before. Completely unacceptable. For our second placement block we found out 2 weeks before... shocking. We were told if we can’t find another student who wants to swap placements with us then we are stuck at that placement, mine is at my local surgery who I am registered with... a conflict of interest really, not the placement I really expected (which was Lincoln hospital). I feel like that placements I’ve had so far I could of easily accessed myself.

Has been difficult over covid, could do with more student support.

I love studying midwifery and being out on placement but it’s very much a self taught approach at Lincoln and if you need support from the staff you really have to put yourself out there to get it

I do not regret coming to UoL to study adult nursing! There’s so much support from each member of staff, and they’re always available if you ever need extra support! I cannot fault my personal tutors! They’ve been amazing to me since being here :)

Would not recommend the course at Lincoln, whilst good facilties, it is poorly designed in all aspects.
