I am currently in first year so maybe not as wise about the course as others. However I am really enjoying the course content and the way it's taught. There isn't one lecturer I couldn't listen to all day, and they put a lot of effort into teaching us, as well as putting recordings of themselves etc online to go over and always being happy to help individuals over emails or in person. Some of the practicals have been a little tedious so far as we're still learning to use the equipment but we're on track to be doing some much more interesting stuff. We've already had 3 assessments (2 tests, 1 practical) which seemed to go well so don't be worried about the difficulty - it's complex but very well explained. The course is very full on: I have 9am starts every day and around 17 hours a week but this helps make friends and you know you've paid £9k to learn & develop skills rather than sleep all day. The bioscience school is very good, with informal meetings with academics, pizza and donuts

Very nice professors who deliver clear speeches in lectures. Professional and conscientious yet humorous sometimes.

Very good job prospects, friendly and supportive academic advisor, currently studying for year abroad- need to offer more help to students planning to go abroad

The teaching is very vague and the lectures tend to speed through very quickly. It would be more helpful to learn the content at home with the text books. They always mention we should know the content before attending the lectures so there’s really no point in showing up.

Much expensive than other cource but lack of chance to use laboratory equipments Poor cource arrangements ,only lecture, lack of support, some lecture slides are awful. Some lecturers are not good at explaining. Some modules have too many guest speaker with awful presentation with out recommended reading ,so difficult to catch up with the course.

The material teachers choose to provide during lectures are sometimes useless and alot of external reading is required to achieve a good grade

The teachers are great and really helpful, you meet your academic advisor several times through the year, either one on one or in groups. Great lab facilities

Most the lecturers just read from the slides. We had a huge coursework deadline issue and exam timetable issues. And modules have been cut for third year leaving us with not much choice !

Most of the staff are excellent at their jobs, others who hold higher positions than they should be, require a review as it puts our education at risk

Teaching and learning are amazing - lecturers always willing to stay behind a few extra minutes to answer any questions. Lectures go beyond the necessary content required for the course - shows that the lecturers really care and are passionate about their teaching and very inspiring to students. Value for money in terms of tuition fees is far too expensive. Job prospects were mediocre, some sessions about jobs were irrelevant to our course, others were very relevant - people who organised the job prospects were very helpful and willing to answer lots of questions. Provided lots of resources for us to research and email them about future jobs. Personal tutors are very compassionate and considerate about our learning and personal difficulties, also they were very helpful and spend lots of time going through revision sessions with us and would answer any queries about the course straight away.
