5 Design studies reviews at University of Kent
Digital Arts, BA Hons
By member665109 On 24th December 21The course is interesting and offers a lot of experimentation within different areas of creative media but due to the multitude of material covered, unless you have already decided what you want to do (ex. Graphic Design) you will spend months working on something which ultimately you will not use in the future. This is good for the learning aspect but in regards to employment, this means that by the end of the course, you will still have to spend a significant amount of your spare time on developing a portfolio or chasing after additional learning opportunities to help you stand-out within your chosen field.

By member539257 On 12th June 19completely left in the dark, had no relevant information obtained from this course. Lectures couldn’t care less and just give one line reviews even if the project has been all year. Writing a 16 thousand word essay and no guide at all. Yet teachers get annoyed that we don’t understand. All these new ideas but none about the grading and marking system. They keep promoting the careers for this department, but when working on my “year in industry” all we had was one woman, checking our CV’s and telling us to shorten them and keep applying for jobs. No help at all. Terrible course
