I’m very happy with my course and what it provides. Although some of my lectures are not quite the best.
Love the course, wish it had more varied modules though as it is largley medeival or modern. Would like some ancient ones. Lecturers all helpful
The staff are all excellent and try to help every student, and have worked well to get around budget cuts to ensure everyone gets a great learning environment

English and American Literatures, BA Hons
By member416962 On 18th October 15So far, this course is incredible. There's a really great range of elective modules and even the core modules are interesting! Of course, there's a hefty amount of reading - but you're taking English Lit, it's to be expected. The staff are brilliant and always there for help, although they encourage you to work independently and grow by yourself.

The course is pretty cool to be honest, though I didn't particularly like a lot of compulsory modules, but that is because I have a preference to more modern literature, children lit, and Shakespeare, so that was just my personal preference, however they have some pretty cool electives to choose from, and you get a lot of choice, I've done a lot of film modules that I really did enjoy. I've never spent much time with my personal tutor, other than the first meeting I had with him I've never actually spoken to him. Career wise, I'm not sure what I'd actually be able to do with my degree, thankfully I have something planned after a summer job I took this year, that I want to go back to afterwards.
