Equine Business Management, BA Hons

The course was taught by lecturers who are excellent at teaching and also have industry experience in their area. We were assessed using relevant methods including business plans and presentations, they are good skills to have when you leave uni. My tutor was helpful, we have a group tutorial every week and could have individual tutorials regularly. My course included both equine and business modules and in the second and third year, you could choose which ones you wanted to do and tailor the course to what you're interested in. I choose mostly business modules, like marketing, accounting and events but also choose the nutrition. I've met business contacts through guest lecturers and networking events. All the lectures have industry contacts, who are happy to help you find a placement/job role.

Always felt like I could talk to practically any of the tutors if I needed anything or had any questions. Left 1 star for private tutor as I didn’t have one

Having gone through Pony Club, first year was pretty useless content wise but good to get in the swing of assignments. Second and third year there was a good amount of choice of modules to really tailor to interests.

Great degree and teaching and learnt a lot but there could have been a larger emphasis on practical work. The job prospects for this degree leave something to be desired, it takes a very specific job to come up for you to be able to utilise it...
