Design, BA Hons
Its a unique course that will either teach you everything you wished to know and change your way of living or make you wish that you could change your way of living. Infinite potential as long as you make the time worthwhile and collaborate with coursemates. Workshop access is another big plus. Also one of the few courses to have a separate studio space.
Design, BA Hons
I love this course, it’s so varied and interesting. You don’t have to come in with a specialisation, they’ll let you try out what you want before you focus on something. Some tutors in particular (Stuart, Soomi’s, Juliette...) are amazing. They will expect you to do a lot of work though. Main negative is the amount of extra money you’ll end up spending on materials, travel and the like that’s not included in the course cost.
Design, BA Hons
The course has some really great tutors and a different take on what design is. There is a great studio culture of working around other students and learning from each other. Tutors push you to think originally and do things that haven't been done before. However they are so focused on originality that it almost feels like a fine arts degree at times - the concept is everything and that means there is little time spent on technical skills or linking our wacky ideas to real-world design needs and careers. Many students felt lost on graduation, knowing little about how to survive in the design world 'out there' as opposed to the little bubble we spent 3 years in that promotes a very specific style of thinking about design that cuts out most work that has a potential for making a living.
