I cannot recommend the University of Essex Philosophy Department enough. Every member works incredibly hard, from the admin to the academics, to provide an incredible service. The lecturers are genuinely interested in you, your education and what you have to say and they go far beyond their requirements in order to facilitate this.

Philosophy, BA Hons

There was a wide choice of modules, but not a huge amount offered for ethics. Dan was my personal tutor and he was honestly the best as he listened to every query and problem as well as keeping you on the right course for doing well. The teachers are passionate and know their course well, making the course much more interesting.

Philosophy and Literature, BA Hons

This is an amazing course! You learn so much, have the opportunity to push yourself and there is a great support network when you need it. I admit that I enjoy the Philosophy side a lot more than the Literature side because of the module choices however, both are super fun.
