Film and Creative Writing, BA Hons

By ChannelPupYT On 14th May 20

The Film Production course is practical and requires a fair bit of course work which is fine, except booking equipment is very difficult as the tutors themselves keep booking the equipment for us to use on exercises which are all very cut-and-dry, and especially unrewarding knowing that our work will be used as examples for later years if it doesn't come out right, which 9/10 times it doesn't due to tight restrictions. The history of film production stuff is too slow. It could definitely move a lot faster than it does, for example: 2 weeks of lectures based around the Male Gaze in Marilyn Munroe films...we get it...we're pigs. Overall, it is okay, but I feel that this could have been a bit more freeform. We have not had much chance to get creative in this first year and the restrictions in place are just making our outcomes far worse than they need to be.

Film and Creative Writing, BA Hons

By ap16635 On 7th December 16

Very much enjoy my course and it has enables me to gain so much more confidence when it comes to speaking and presenting in class. I do have a lot of work and that stresses me out because so much of it is hands on but i also like that. However, i have yet to have a one-to-one with my personal tutor.
