Education Studies and Sociology, BA Hons
Being a Joint Honours student has really expanded my skills, allowing me to diversify my job prospects through personal development and being able to adapt to different learning styles of two completely different subjects. I major in Sociology, which is a course I really enjoy, and the content is always intellectually stimulating, and encourages further thinking and exploration. The lecturers are all really interesting, fun and helpful, and you create a personal relationship with them across the three years, so they are more like friends than teachers. Education studies is also a fun subject, which allowed (and payed) for me to go to Milan for 5 weeks to teach in Italy in my second year. This was an incredible experience, and really demonstrated to me the prospect of becoming a teacher once I left University.
