Medical Science, BSc Hons
By member959387 On 1st June 21The course is a great one! I love the topics we learnt. However, I believe that lecturers do what they want even when student have been vocal about the way they teach not being beneficial and not much is done to address this problem. Job prospects have been shared but could be a little more helpful and specific with job routes. Still believe since lectures were ALL online a partial refund is required as I dont believe DMU did the best and making things available for students to help

Biomedical Science, BSc Hons
By member1335039 On 24th November 18I am currently in first year of biomedical science, however, so far only the microbiology has been an informative and educational module. The biochemistry and cell biology module is being presented very poorly with the main lecturer being highly condesending and unhelpful. The anatomy and physiology practical lead taught nothing to assist with the initial practical assessment and not only didn't inform the students it was a formal assessment, but gave impossible questions on a restricted deadline. Same goes for the chemistry tutor who seems to be unable to teach and instead gives quizzes every lesson expecting us to know the answers already, with no real context given. The library has an severely inadequate number of reading material available; given how much we are paying for the course and the further reading we are set, you would expect them to have more than a couple of books available per topic. In realiy is dmu worth it? Probably not.
